Horrible service by Samsung
| I would never buy another Samsung product again after this experience. The product arrived with only the DVD part working, and even that did not provide any better images than the basic DVD player on my computer. The unit also seemed very flimsy and reluctant to respond to the remote control. I sent it in to Samsung for service - they assured me that it would take only one week door to door, since I live close to the service center. Two weeks later, I had heard nothing from them. I called, waited some time on hold, and discovered that they had realized they couldn't fix it, then done nothing about getting me a replacement unit. The customer service rep admitted that this was their fault, and said a replacement unit would be sent by expedited delivery, to arrive by the end of the following week at the latest. Still no sign of it at that point, so I called and waited on hold again. After several calls, they finally shipped it out - without the expedited delivery. I haven't received the new unit yet (and am wondering if I really will), so I don't know if it will work any better than the original one. |

doesn't do all it says it does
i picked this up with the specific purpose of playing jpeg, mp3 CD's and DVD's that I burned. I couldn't get it to work - so I finally read the instruction manual and there is NO mention that it does anything but the standard commerical audio CD and movie DVD.

Piece of junk
| Piece of junk. Timer broke in 3 months; DVD player broke in 6 months. It received very light use; it was a backup machine that should have lasted two to three years. |
