RIP 12/2/06
| Just died today. Noticed the clock wasn't on, my husband determined power coming into the unit, but it will not power up. I believe we had it about a year and a half, purchased from Sam's Club for about $250. Worked OK, until it didn't work anymore, but had some bad flaws: Sound very low, even at top volume. Not good for the kitchen when cooking. Also, when they unit shut off, the DVD would not remember where it was, it always started up from the beginning. |

Horrible, horrible, horrible
Wow, I feel like we could start some kind of "how we got screwed from Polaroid group". My husband purchased this for me Christmas 05, we installed it sometime in January. The middle part of April (guess what) the screen went black, I, too called and was told 150.00 for a refurb unit and that was all they would do. After checking online and finding out that these units do have trouble, I contacted the BBB on May 1. A week later, I received a phone call from Polaroid stating that they would send a new unit at no cost w/i 10 days. As two weeks go by and I have nothing, I called and was told that they needed the serial number (which I gave) and then I would get the unit. Again nothing (we are now in July). I call again and was told that I was lying as they did not have any phone records of anyone ever speaking to me. I asked to talk to a Supervisor and was told one would call me back (this never happened). I decided to place another complaint and do more research online and with the stores and I found that most if not all of this product had the same problem.

Disgusted
| I just had to join the ranks on how disgusted I am with this product. Bought it for my new house in Dec 2005, installed it in Feb 2006 and in 30 days it died. Yes the same thing, black screen. Of course I too was past the 90 day warranty period. Now I have a $200 FM radio, no AM that never worked. It amazes me how a company can still be in business after manufacturing such inferior products. Lesson learned, never again will I buy from Poloroid. |
