Not worth it
The radio part of this boombox was acceptable, but the CD player doesn't work at all. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Spend an extra 5-10 bucks and get something a little bit better. Memorex might make good CDR's but boombox is definitely not there expertise product.

Choose a different item!!!
Upon receiving this boombox, I was immediately discouraged when few radio stations were able to come dispite the fact that I can pick them up on my handheld walkman. It was downhill after that - the CD player didn't work and it would turn itself off when switching between tuner and CD. When I could get sound, it sounded hollow and void of any true sound. Choose a different radio, or at least be aware of what you're getting.

Where's the music??
No stars!! I just received this as an early Christmas present. I'm taking it back! I tried 3 different CD's, and the ONLY sound each time was a scratching noise. Hitting the Stop button didn't do any good. I just had to wait for the noise to stop on it's own; then the "disc" message came up. All 3 CD's were waaay off-center when I opened the CD compartment.
