Pleasantly surprised
I recommended this camera to a co-worker blindly, because another co-worker has a previous (two generations ago) model of ELPH SDnnn and she has been able to produce exceptional work.

Excellent Camera, BUT...
I have now been fortunate enough to own several digital cameras, including a Nikon KoolPix 500, which was a 3.1MP camera released in 2000, and up until recently I had a Nikon D70 DSLR.

Great Camera
| My parents purchased this camera for me recently for an early Christmas present. I was researching the 'net to find which digital camera I wanted. I wanted something compactable, affordable, that took very clear pictures with some features that would be fun to play with. After much research I decided on the canon sd600 and I was glad I did. The canon has so many features, for instance the Color accent feature that enables you to pick a color to accent and leave the background black and white, this feature would have to be my favorite. I have found the clarity on these pictures to be outstanding. It takes great pictures no matter what the conditions. If it is cloudy, sunny, or even pitch dark it will adjust to take a great picture. The only problem (which I am sure is of my own fault) is whenever I put the camera in digital macro mode and try to take pictures they almost always turn out to be blurry. But, overall, this is a great camera because it is small and takes great pictures with plenty of other features for those who wish to make their pictures unique. Highly recommended!! |
