Poor features for today, a throw back to the 1960s

Just like being back in class
I'm in law school. I bought this at the beginning of last semester to tape my lectures. It's worked beautifully -- I feel like I'm back in class again. The recorder spits out wav files, which play fine in a bunch of programs (Windows media player, Winamp, etc).

Amature Quality
I was expecting to get a more sensitive mic on this device. I was expecting to be able to pause a recording and continue, instead I get a new recording. I have kept it because I have not found anything quite as compact but the low pick-up on the mic really frustrates me.
