My Coby Player worked for 1 month then it showed "wrong disc" error, with every disc. Customer service just doesnt answer. Spend your money better!!

Great things come in small packages.....even dvd players!!
| I purchased the Coby 224-M player, which is identical to the Coby 224, at a Big Lots store for $25.00. Hooked it up to my surround sound system, plays, looks, and sounds great!! There are some extra control features on this small player than even the regular sized players don't have. How many players out there allow you to adjust the dvd picture's contrast/brightness/sharpness?? Very few, and this one does. NTSC/PAL compatibility allows you to play DVD's that are PAL or NTSC encoded. As for region codes, you can change the codes to play dvd's from other regions or from all countries (see earlier reviews for how to do this). This dvd player will also play VCD's (as I have two of them, they play no problemo on this player!!). One issue has been the wearing out of the remote control, which I haven't had dealt with yet, but you can buy a replacement remote for about $16. Go to COBY's website, they have a link to an online store that sells replacement remotes for the DVD-224, and other Coby products. Four out of five stars for this small yet value-packed DVD player. |

| Do not buy! I just bought it a few weeks ago and was able to play 3 DVD's before it stopped working. What do you expect for that price, and a no-name brand..... |
