THE SD-2200 IS THE BEST DVD PLAYER I OWN
| I AM NOT GOING INTO ALL OF THE SPECIFICS, BUT OUT OF 9 DVD PLAYERS I OWN, THIS IS MY FAVORITE----THOSE ANNOYING LETTERBOX MOVIES ZOOM INTO STANDARD AT ONE CLICK WITH VERY EQUAL BALANCING ON THE CUTOFF SO THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A STANDARD MOVIE, YOU DO NOT MISS ANYTHING...IT PLAYED ALL OF MY DVD-R'S AND MY SVCD'S...I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING, IN FACT I MAY BUY ANOTHER. |

IT DOES PLAY BURNED CDS
| i have had this player for a while now and i've loved it since day one. when i first got it, i was disappointed to find out that it did not play burned cds...but i later found out that it does play burned Cds as long as they are CD-RW. i was reading at a CDR faq and this is what they said.."CD-RW discs have a different formulation, and may work even on players that can't handle CD-R media. If CD-R media doesn't work, try copying the disc to CD-RW instead" i tried it and it works. i can even erase the CD-RW disc and burn the same disc again with different music..because of this, i enjoy my player even more |

can't play CD-R's
| If you are using this machine primarily as a DVD player it is quite user friendly, however it does not have the capablity to play CD-r's or CD-RW's, either PC or music format. It' HDCD decoding, however, is a rare asset. |
